Join me for a hands-on printmaking workshop where we’ll create delicate butterfly prints inspired by the intricate details and decorative motifs found throughout Two Temple Place.
In this relaxed and creative session, I’ll guide you through the process of creating your own printing plate using recycled Tetrapak cartons. You’ll learn how to transfer your butterfly design, etch fine details using a drypoint needle tool, and apply printmaking inks by hand to build up a beautiful multi-coloured print.
There will be plenty of time to experiment with colour and texture before using a printing press to create your final piece. Your finished artwork will be presented in a floating glass frame for you to take home, a unique handmade artwork ready to display.
All materials, including the frame, are provided, and the workshop is suitable for all levels of ability, including complete beginners.
I’ll guide you step by step throughout the process, offering support and encouragement while you explore the joy of printmaking.
